Necessity is the Mother of invention as the axiom purports, and that is exactly why Loretta Pierce created Master Design in 1983 – to satisfy a need. Namely, the need of professional women for fine quality, tailored clothing and accessories, a need that heretofore had not been met by garment industry designers.
Master Design began in a small manufacturing suite in the Los Angeles garment district. Master Design’s continued focus on producing exceptional “classic based” apparel collections, enabling women to systematically build their wardrobes with a high level personal service, resulted in another banner year of growth.
